This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided by Filtago:

  • Filtago Sourcing — Outsourced procurement and supplier management for food importers
  • Filtago BD — AI-powered automation for Bangladesh e-commerce businesses (currently in development)

By using any Filtago service, you agree to the data practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

A. For Filtago Sourcing:

  • Business Information: Your company name, contact details, import requirements, and product specifications
  • Trade Documents: Purchase orders, invoices, inspection reports, and shipping documents we handle on your behalf
  • Communication Records: Emails, WhatsApp messages, and call notes related to your sourcing projects
  • Supplier Information: Details of suppliers we source and verify for you — this belongs to you (see Section 5)

B. For Filtago BD (AI Automation):

  • Business Information: Business name, website URL, Facebook Page URL, and contact number provided during onboarding
  • Message Data: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and website chat messages processed by our AI agent on behalf of your business
  • Order Data: Customer order information processed through our automation workflows
  • Customer Data: End-customer information (names, addresses, phone numbers) collected through AI conversations for order processing
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including workflow execution logs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and deliver our sourcing and automation services
  • Source, verify, and negotiate with suppliers on your behalf
  • Process and manage customer orders on your behalf
  • Conduct quality inspections and coordinate shipments
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent orders (AI automation)
  • Generate reports and analytics for your business
  • Communicate with you about service updates, project progress, and support
  • Improve our services and operations

What we never do: We never use your data for marketing to third parties. We never share your supplier contacts, pricing, or business strategy with anyone. Your data serves you — not us.

4. Facebook and WhatsApp Data

For AI automation services, Filtago integrates with Meta platforms (Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram). By using these integrations:

  • We access your Facebook Page messages and WhatsApp Business messages solely to provide the automation service
  • We do not sell or share your Facebook or WhatsApp data with third parties
  • Message data is processed in real-time and stored only as necessary for order management
  • We comply with Meta's Platform Terms and Data Use Policies
  • You can revoke our access to your Facebook Page or WhatsApp at any time through your Meta Business settings

5. Confidentiality & Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal or business data. Period.

For Sourcing clients:

  • Your supplier relationships, pricing, and business information are strictly confidential
  • We never introduce your suppliers to your competitors
  • All supplier contacts we build for you belong to you
  • We may share necessary information with logistics partners only to coordinate your shipments — with your knowledge

For AI Automation clients:

We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Google (Sheets, AI), Meta (Facebook/WhatsApp APIs) — only as necessary to provide our services
  • Courier Partners: Only order delivery information needed to fulfill customer orders

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

  • All data transmissions are encrypted using SSL/TLS
  • Access credentials and tokens are stored securely and never shared
  • Sourcing documents and trade records are stored in secure, access-controlled systems
  • We conduct regular security reviews of our systems
  • Only authorized team members can access your data, and only what they need for your project

7. Data Retention

  • Active client data is retained as long as our business relationship is active
  • After service ends, business configuration data is deleted within 30 days
  • Trade documents and order history may be retained for up to 90 days for dispute resolution
  • You may request immediate deletion by contacting us

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal and business data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
  • Data portability — receive your data in a usable format
  • Request a copy of all supplier information we sourced for you

9. Cookies

Our website (filtago.com) uses minimal cookies for basic functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use an IP geolocation service (ipwho.is) to detect your country for language preferences — no personal data is stored from this process.

10. Children's Privacy

Filtago's services are designed for business use only. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age. Our services are not directed at children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. We will notify existing clients of significant changes via email or through our platform. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
